RUN THE RIVER & STAY FOR THE CELEBRATION

The Event

Register now for the 4th Annual RE STRONG Run benefiting VCU Massey Cancer Center on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at historic Hewick Plantation! This event celebrates the life of Ruth Ellen Hurley and all who have bravely battled cancer. Join us for this community festival in Urbanna, one of Virginia’s most charming Chesapeake Bay towns.


The Courses

The 5k and 10k races run along Urbanna’s beautiful Rappahannock River waterfront and through the quaint harbor town. Kids can experience the Fun Run around Hewick Plantation with special treats, just like the big runners and a race arch finish! All registered participants are invited to run or walk the courses!


Races

Fun Run – 7:30 a.m.
5k and 10k – 8:30 a.m.
First 500 registered participants are guaranteed a race shirt and participant medal.

Awards

5k and 10k Race
The top first, second and third place male and female finishers in the following categories will be recognized with an award.
Ages 10 – 14, 15 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 & up
Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers will also be recognized.


Post-Race Festival

Celebrate with live music, food, drinks, family activities and much more!

Volunteer Sign Up

The RE STRONG Run event organizers will be recruiting volunteers to help with a variety of rolls on event day. Positions include registration, information table, children’s area, water stations and finish line.

Parking

Right next door! The event will offer large amounts of parking in the field off Lord Mott Road in Urbanna next to the course start and finish. Race staff will be on site that day to direct you to parking.
